Volunteer Coordinator
This is a position that requires working under the supervision of the DHS Director. Qualifications needed: Interest in, and enthusiasm for, the purpose and programs of the Delta Humane Society. Ability to train and recruit committees for specific DHS projects.

Clerical and Database Entry
This position is available for anyone with general office skills, and/or database entry experience.

"Buy A Brick" Building Fund Campaign
Ask how you can help sell "Brick Certificates" and help our no-kill shelter, one brick at a time. This campaign is to help fund Phase 2 of our shelter project, which includes new kennel building, food storage building, and other shelter renovations.

Fund Raising Committee Members
Currently there are 30 active Volunteer members who meet the first wednesday of each month at 5:30pm. Join this fun, energetic group who work year round on all the shelter's events.

General Maintenance
The main shelter needs volunteers for light landscaping, lawn work, and minor building repairs.

Convalescent Home Visit
Individuals needed to take our pets for visits at local convalescent homes. Such visits have seen proven to be very therapeutic for all involved.

Shelter Assistants
Hands-on, manual work at the shelter to assist in cleaning cages, socializing with animals, giving pet baths, etc.

  The Mission of the Delta Humane Society & S.P.C.A. is to promote the humane treatment of animals and to promote the bond of caring between humans and animals. We do not destroy our animals. We accomplish our mission by providing shelter, care and adoption services for misplaced pets. We seek to educate and make the county's citizens aware of their responsibilities in the crisis of pet overpopulation. We promote public awareness for the care of all animals in our world.
