Director and President

Patrice Davidson has been with Delta Humane Society since 1994. As Director Patrice is the administrator for the Delta Humane Society No-Kill Shelter and the Delta Humane Society Thrift and Gift Boutique. In addition to staff management, she handles all Public Relations, Events, Fund Development, Promotions, and is the Editor of the Society’s newsletter, The Pet Saver. As President, Patrice serves on the Volunteer Board of Directors. Memberships: The Society of Animal Welfare Administrators, The Association of Professional Humane Educators & The Association of Fund Raising Professionals.



Development Director

Darcy Koster joined Delta Humane Society in June 2017. Her primary role is to develop and implement activities of all kinds to raise funds to ensure the shelter continues to be San Joaquin Counties 100% No Kill shelter and to support the off-site adoption efforts. She also chairs the Fund Development Committee, volunteer committees and volunteer coordination at events. Darcy also develops community partnerships and shared fundraising activities local businesses and other non-profit agencies. Her background experience includes more than 25 years of event planning, fundraising and community relationship management.

Shelter Manager

Karla Acevedo is the Shelter Manager for the Delta Humane Society No-Kill Shelter. Karla started at the shelter in 1994 as a receptionist and over time became The Animal Health Technician and Shelter Assistant Manager. Karla is now the Shelter Manager and Health Technician. Member of The North American Veterinary Technician Association.

Outreach Coordinator

Kayla Acevedo is the Coordinator of The Animal Awareness Youth Movement, an educational program for local schools. Kayla started volunteering with Delta Humane Society when she was very young. She started working here in 2012. Kayla spends most of her time caring for the animals here at the shelter.  For information on missing dogs or cats please contact Kayla.
